Tax Preparation Services - 2023 Tax Returns
Steve Cox, CPA is committed to providing all tax clients with service that reflects the highest level of quality and professionalism. Your tax preparation fee includes the ability to email tax-related questions to Steve throughout the year at no additional charge.
The flat fee for preparation of a 1040 tax return generally runs between the upper-$300's to upper-$400's, depending on the complexity of the return. Discounts are often available for first time clients. See the Referral Program - Save $ webpage for other savings opportunities. Discounts are also available for senior/retired taxpayers.
Payment is due at the time the tax return has been reviewed and approved by the taxpayer and prior to transmittal. Clients receive a draft copy of their return for review via PDF file through ShareFile or email. All finalized returns are filed electronically. The direct deposit of any refund received is a service that is included in the flat fee. Additional detail regarding payment of fees can be found on the Our Payment Terms page.
The purpose of this tax practice is to compile an accurate and honest tax return. This tax practice does not take "aggressive" tax positions that may often lead to increased IRS scrutiny and/or audit. This tax practice does not have the staffing to handle tax returns of individuals whose primary source of income is through self-employment unless the supporting records are organized and accurate. Steve reserves the right to refuse any potential or existing tax return clients.
Any tax return materials received after April 1st may be subject to filing for extension beyond the April 15th deadline. There may be a supplemental charge for filing an extension. There may also be a supplemental charge based on $95/hour for additional services such as a forecast of the following year tax return.
